Service Technician I
Precision Fire Solutions primarily installs and maintains fire detection systems but we also install and maintain commercial intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems. Success in the Service Technician role requires a task-solution mentality to solving low voltage system error issues. The individual in this role will be required to rely heavily on their low voltage system skills on a daily basis to make repairs on low voltage systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform repairs of low voltage systems
- Identifies and solves problems
- Encourage customer satisfaction
- Report of materials and repair needs
- Fill out Service Acknowledgement forms on each jobsite
- Adding to and retaining knowledge for professional growth
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and other employees
- Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices
- Keep and maintain company issued safety & work equipment
- Possess and maintain hand tools necessary for system maintenance
Job Requirements
Organization: Utilizes and promotes strong organizational skills. Exhibit effective time management while developing installation skills.
Communication: Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently. Employs effective listening skills.
Problem Solving: Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives. Must have a “puzzle-solving” mentality.
Interpersonal Skills: Willingness to take direction and retain the knowledge gained. Tactful and mature demeanor. Must be self-motivating.
Technical: High School diploma or equivalent. Possess a basic understanding of all low voltage systems installation and operation. Factory certified on a major security or access control system preferred.
General: Two+ years of trade experience. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must pass a background check. Be able to safely perform physically including heavy lifting, 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and operating power drills/saws. Must be able to pass state and federal background check (criminal record or federal watch lists). Must be eligible for US employment. Be able to work from elevated heights.
